Burning questions from ‘Breaking Dawn’ premiere

Last night nearly every star in the "Twilight" firmament turned out for the world premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1" at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Naturally, all eyes were on closely orbiting binary stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as the pair made their way down the "black carpet" premiere.

What Was Rob Whispering to Kristen?

Although they set aside plenty of time for the 1,200 or so people who had camped out to meet them, the typically private real-life couple were a bit cozier than usual in public. Maybe it was Kristen's leggy stunner of a dress—a sparkling J. Mendes blue gown—but Rob couldn't resist whispering to her as they made their way through the melee arm-in-arm. Who knows what he was saying, but she certainly seemed amused by it.

Did Members of the Kardashian Klan Krash the Karpet?

Although it was rumored that the Kardashian half-sisters crashed the "Twilight" premiere, apparently the two teenage fashionistas actually did make the list. (They even signed autographs for fans who probably hadn't waited 48 hours to meet them.) Fourteen-year-old Kylie told E! about oscillating between Team Edward and Team Jacob, but concluded she's "obsessed" with Rob Pattinson.

Say What? Rob's Car Exploded?!

While certain peripheral reality stars are given $80,000 Range Rovers on their 16th birthdays (see above), apparently one of the biggest heartthrobs in Hollywood still doesn't have a set of wheels to call his own.

Speaking to Yahoo! about his beloved BMW that bit the dust two years ago, Rob Pattinson admitted that he hasn't replaced the car even after all his success.

"I don't have a car at all. It blew up," Pattinson said with a laugh. "I still have it. It's an old '89 BMW. It is a classic. It cost $1,000. I have a rental now."

In case you aren't a Twihard with a perfect memory, the dashboard of Pattinson's vintage junker caught on fire as he was driving it along the Pacific Coast Highway a few years ago. After his BMW's near-BBQ, Pattinson realized that perhaps not all against-the-odds romances are worth the risk.

But even now, he maintains a curious connection to car. After all, who holds on to a fire-gutted car for over two years?

Which 'Twilight' Star Hasn't Read the Books, and Why?

"I don't want to read the book until I'm older and have more life experience," a newcomer star to the film franchise told Yahoo! last night. The words make more sense when you realize they come from 11-year-old Mackenzie Foy, who plays Edward and Bella's half-vampire daughter, Renesmee. Although Renesmee barely appears in this film, the fresh-faced actress made her first walk down the red carpet last night in preparation for her very central role in next year's final "Twilight" film.

Who Was That Lady on Kellan Lutz's Arm?

Kellan Lutz—who plays the buffest member of the Cullen family—was all laughs with his new love, Australian actress Sharni Vinson. The "Step Up 3D" actress certainly made an impression on the "Immortals" action star. "She's a happy person, which really just clicks with me," Lutz told Ryan Seacrest last week. "It's just great to have someone you can smile with all the time."

Who Was Taylor Lautner Most Excited to See on the Red Carpet?

"I'm a huge sports fan, [so] whenever I meet sports fans that are into 'Twilight,' it's cool," said Taylor Lautner, who was thrilled to see the Lakers' Ron Artest (now officially Metta World Peace) at the premiere of a "Twilight" film for the second year in a row. "It's his usual thing," Lautner joked. At this point, Artest has probably spent more time at "Twilight" premieres than he did at the "Dancing With the Stars" ballroom.

Who Were the Most Random Red Carpet Guests?

Take your pick: "Weird Al" Yankovic, NASCAR racer Danica Patrick, "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale or former "Ghost Whisperer" Jennifer Love Hewitt. Perhaps the most incongruous appearance was Matt Lanter, the "90210" star who mocked Robert Pattinson by playing "Edward Sullen" in the spoof-flick "Vampires Suck."
