Howard Stern Shows 'Romantic' Side During Rare Joint Appearance With Wife Beth Ostrosky on 'The Talk'

As is his nature, Howard Stern takes over the show when he sits down with the ladies from "The Talk" on Thursday, but the new addition to the "America's Got Talent" judges' table also shows a romantic side. That's because his wife, Beth Ostrosky, makes a rare joint appearance with him for the interview — and the King of All Media softens up (a little!) around the missus.

"Oh, it's classic Howard," the show moderator Julie Chen tells Yahoo! TV of Stern's appearance. "I'm convinced that because he's so funny he already knows what he's going to do before he steps onstage. He takes control [of the show]. We didn't even ask a question. Every time we did, he just veered into what he wanted to talk about!"

Sharon Osbourne knew what to expect now that she's been working with Stern on "AGT." "Even when I was reading the [teleprompter], he was interrupting," she laughs. "He just takes over." Not that they minded because it makes for good TV. "We just sat back and let him run and run until he ran out of road," adds Aisha Tyler.

But when Ostrosky is by his side, it's a whole different ballgame. "Oh, he was very romantic," says Sheryl Underwood. "That's what struck me. When he was talking about his wife, it was the only time he got serious. I just thought that was so tender."

During the show, Stern opens up about their life together. "Marriage, I think, made our relationship better. I recommend it," he says. "I think for a marriage to succeed, if I can be serious for a minute, everyone has to feel equal in the relationship. If you don't feel equal, it's going to fail. One of the things we found, people would say: Oh, she's your girlfriend? And almost not treat [her] seriously, like I didn't love [her] or something. As soon as we got married, I know that [she] felt more secure, I felt better -- we're a family now -- it was really spectacular to get married and it just gets better every day."

Though Stern remains Stern. When Ostrosky tells Osbourne that she's become jealous of her husband's relationship with her now that they've bonded on the set of of "AGT," Stern tells the two women that he knows exactly how to resolve the situation. "You know what would calm you guys down with this?" he asks. "A threesome." Then he turned to the audience and cracked, "With my luck these two would fall in love and dump me."

A more romantic side? Perhaps. But he'll never get too far away from that trademark naughty boy humor that has made him so famous.
