DJ Pauly D Addresses The Situation's Stint in Rehab: 'I'm Glad He Got Help'

It looks like the entire cast of "Jersey Shore" will be back on the boardwalk for Season 6 of the series -- something that was up in the air when key cast member Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino recently entered a rehab program for a prescription medication problem.

At an MTV press event on Thursday, Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio gave Yahoo! TV an update on his fellow GTL-er. "He actually just reached out to me," said the star of "The Pauly D Project." "He's doing great. I'm happy to hear that. I'm glad he got help. And I'm looking forward to filming with him on Season 6."

In March, Sorrentino confirmed that he was in rehab. "I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion," he said in a statement. "I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys."

Season 5 of "Jersey Shore" ended last month and Season 6 is scheduled to film this summer back in the familiar setting of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Another adjustment for the cast will be Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi's pregnancy. She's expecting her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle, so the audience will experience less of a party-centric storyline for her. For now you can catch DelVecchio's "Jersey Shore" spin-off, "The Pauly D Project," Thursdays at 10:30 PM on MTV, and then Polizzi and Jenni Farley's side project, "Snooki & JWOWW," when it debuts June 21.
