Emma Stone Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction at Met Gala

Emma Stone is one good actress. Behind all the smiles and pretty poses at the Met Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday night, she was hiding a terrible secret: there was a huge hole in her Lanvin dress! The "Amazing Spider-Man" star appears to have busted out the back of the cherry red hand-embroidered mini right where it zipped up. In photos taken of Stone, 23, sitting in a car on her way to an after-party, she can be seen showing the giant tear to Lanvin designer, Alber Elbaz, who looks shocked and perplexed. But Stone is no diva. Instead of throwing a fit or demanding a new dress, she simply slipped on a maroon-colored coat to seamlessly cover up the hole for the remainder of the night.

The dress proved to be a lot more trouble than it probably was worth. Earlier in the evening, on the steps at the entrance of the Metropolitan Museum, Stone was seen trying to fix something on the front bodice of the dress (perhaps one of those hand-sewn crystal flowers?) as actresses Leslie Mann and Rashida Jones attempted to help her.

Despite the gaffe, Stone was still one of the best-dressed stars of the night. Other standouts included Beyonce, who showed off her post-baby bod in a practically see-through Givenchy Haute Couture gown, Jessica Alba in a gold Michael Kors creation, and "Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev in a custom-designed show-stopper from Donna Karan Atelier.
