Ryan Gosling reportedly pulls woman away from oncoming cab

It's official. Ryan Gosling is the perfect man. The actor already had us at "The Notebook." Now he's proved himself in the real world by reportedly saving a woman's life.

As posted on Twitter, British journalist Laurie Penny claims that Gosling grabbed her as she was about to step into the street and was almost hit by a taxi when looking the wrong way. (Brits do that.)

As Penny noted real-time: "I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened." She added details shortly after: "I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi."

She clarified: "He did not say 'hey, girl.' He said 'hey, watch out!'" A woman nearby confirmed the Ryan run-in, telling the lucky Penny: "You lucky bitch."

This is not the first time the Canadian hearthrob has stepped in to save the day. Last year, the "Ides of March" star broke up a fight on the lower East Side, which was caught on tape.

The writer herself has weighed in on the outsized interest in her anecdote. Writing for Gawker, she protested, "I refuse to be cast in any sort of boring supporting female role, even though I have occasional trouble crossing the road, and even though I did swoon the teeniest tiniest bit when I realized it was him."
