Urban Meyer buys a new expensive mansion

Urban Meyer has found a new castle.

After putting his $1.7 million mansion in Gainesville, Fla., on the market in February, Meyer has found a suitable replacement in Muirfiled, Ohio — an 11,700-square-foot home worth $1.45 million.

The Columbus Dispatch has the details:

The home features seven bedrooms, four full baths and four half baths on nearly 2 acres overlooking the seventh green of the Muirfield Village Golf Club in a gated portion of the Dublin golf community. The property also includes an in-ground pool, four fireplaces and a billiard room.

"It's really a beautiful home, with lots of great living space," said Ron Cadieux, a managing partner with the Raines Group, the Real Living HER agency that listed the home. "It has a very, very nice yard, both front and back, and even though it's on the championship golf course, it offers lots of privacy."

According to the paper, the Meyers actually got a great deal on this place. The house was originally listed for $2.8 million, went off the market and returned at $1.8 million last summer. And then Meyer was able to shave another $400,000 off that price. I mean, he is Urban Meyer and all.

The home is actually very similar to the one Meyer owned in Florida. It has an additional bedroom, one less bathroom, but the amenities (sans trading sun for snow) seem about the same.

The pool and billiard room should be great for the Ohio State players and if Meyer is able to find a place for the biggest leather sectional sofa I've ever seen, then I'd say it's a win-win for everyone.
