Petra Kvitova whiffs on an easy overhead (video)

Picking the worst overhead of the 2011 Australian Open is like choosing the worst Adam Sandler film of the past decade. There are so many worthy candidates, it's impossible to come up with a wrong answer. Serena Williams hit an overhead that landed five feet in front of her. Li Na sailed an easy one that landed near Perth. Lesser players seemingly forgot their earliest training and failed to move their feet and get their off-hand up before hitting. It was as if they were putting on a clinic on how not to smash the ball.

And if that were the case, then Petra Kvitova held a symposium. Watch as the No. 2 seed completely whiffs on a key overhead during her fourth-round match against Ana Ivanovic:

Kvitova has a lot of growing to do. A true veteran would have looked up at the sun in disgust, or fingered the strings of her racquet or bent over to feel her ankle after such a miss, anything to throw blame elsewhere.
