Sir Tom Jones opens up about losing his wife Linda: 'I still hear her'

Sir Tom Jones has opened up about losing his wife, Linda, admitting that he still sees her and hears her voice.

The 76-year-old singing legend was left absolutely heartbroken when his wife of 59 years tragically died of cancer in April.

Speaking about his heartbreak, the star explained: “I hear her voice. I see her a lot at night.

"When I dream that she’s still here and then I wake up and she’s not, that’s the hardest.”

He went on to add to The Mirror that he hasn’t considered finding love again, sharing: “I haven’t even thought about that - I really haven’t.

"It was a devastating thing because we found out she had lung cancer - she didn’t know. She had emphysema, you see, then all of a sudden, boom. I was on tour at the time and I came home and they didn’t know how long we had.

"It was terminal. So I had to stop at that point and I didn’t know whether I would be able to sing again because it hurt so much because we had been together since we were kids.

"It’s still hard. I didn’t know whether I’d be able to get up on stage and be emotional with songs, especially songs that she liked. But I can be and it’s lifted me up and she’s there.”

We are so glad that Tom has been able to find the light at the end of the tunnel, and kudos to him for publicly speaking out about his grief.
