One Direction's Niall Horan told that no-one really cares about him in awkward live interview

The trouble with a live interview is that absolutely anything can happen and there is no way of hiding it, which is what One Direction star, Niall Horan, discovered in his latest radio chat.

The singer was appearing on KISS 1065’s Kyle and Jackie O show when a fan called in to chat to Niall… And drop one heck of an offensive clanger in the process.

Eve had called into the Australian show from Canada, and DJ Kyle told her: “Tell [your friends] you’re on the line with Niall right now and they will totally lose their minds, go on.”

Only for Eve to awkwardly reply: “But I live in Canada, no-one really cares.”

Ouch, that’s got to hurt.

Cue a very awkward, and painfully long, silence, only for Kyle to embarrassingly make matter worse by retorting: “What do you mean they won’t care? Freaking Niall’s on the phone!”

Speaking to Niall directly, he added: “Oh, sorry buddy… We would chop that out if we weren’t live.”

Oh Kyle, please stop digging this hole even bigger than it already is…

Poor Niall has only just started his solo career after surprising fans by dropping his debut single, ‘This Town’, last week with his new record label, Capitol Records.

The track immediately sprung to the top of the iTunes charts across the globe and the Irish star is enjoying huge success away from his One Direction bandmates.

It’s just a shame that Eve didn’t quite realise that during their chat.
