Strictly Come Dancing viewers accused of racism as Tameka Empson is eliminated

Last night’s Strictly Come Dancing result left viewers shocked and outraged, with much-loved EastEnders’ actress, Tameka Empson, being the second celebrity eliminated from the competition.

Tameka follows DJ Melvin Odoom out of the studio door after she lost the dance off against Irish Laura Whitmore, with American Anastacia being the other act in the bottom two last week.

Now fans of the show have taken to social media to blast Strictly’s voters as racist, with Tameka’s exit being considered a huge shock as EastEnders’ cast members traditionally do well in the hit dance show.

They wrote on Twitter:

Tameka took her elimination with dignity, saying at the time: “It has been [brief]. I have enjoyed my time immensely, I really have. It’s lovely to be a part of it, I’m grateful so thank you.

“Gorka is such a lovely person, I think he is a great asset to the show, you have shown me so much passion, patience, motivation and I love you, I think you are fantastic.”

She will definitely be missed.
