Are Big Brother’s Ryan Ruckledge and Hughie Maughan engaged?

Big Brother duo Ryan Ruckledge and Hughie Maughan packed on the PDA while in the Borehamwood bungalow this summer, but some viewers accused the pair of having a “showmance” for extra airtime.

However - now, months after the series wrapped, it seems like the Rughie romance might actually be the real deal as Ryan’s latest tweet suggests that the couple have upgraded their relationship status.

In a not-so-subtle post, the former X Factor hopeful wrote: “I do,” alongside a series of emojis including a couple holding hands, a bride, a ring and finally a church (check, check, check and check on the engagement checklist)!

Then four minutes later he added: “Best mood ever today,” which Hughie then replied: “Love you.” And at this point all of the reality star’s followers’ hearts melted in an instant.

Later, Ryan followed up with another cryptic tweet, which shared today’s (perhaps significant) date: “22/09/2016,” followed by SIX heart emojis – and that’s basically all of the confirmation that we need in 2016.

But, just in case you’re still unsure, Hughie also added: “Having a happy day happy happy happy.” Awww, you guys!

Ryan previously pretended to be engaged to Irishman Hughie whilst inside the Big Brother house all in the name of the lolz.

Announcing the news to the garden, he said: “This sounds really bizarre but he’s actually proposed to me!” However, despite Ryan’s very best acting skills, not all housemates were convinced by the hoax.
