Taylor Swift And Tom Hiddleston ‘Split Up’: How Twitter Dealt With The News

In news that is maybe a touch unsurprising, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have reportedly split up after just three months of dating.

The pair first got together less than three weeks after Taylor split from her long-term boyfriend, Calvin Harris, back in July.

Now, according to a source from Taylor’s side, the 26-year-old singer has ended their romance because she was apparently “uncomfortable” with how public Tom wanted their relationship to be.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the insider explained: “She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.

"Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn’t listen to her concerns when she brought them up.”

This seems particularly ironic considering how public Tay and Tom’s romance was in the first couple of weeks of dating.

In fact, news of their romance broke after they were papped canoodling on a private beach by the same photo agency who had photographed her best friend’s wedding.

Taylor then jetted across the Atlantic to meet Tom’s parents after just nine days of dating before embarking on a round-the-world date with the Night Manager star, paparazzi documenting their every move.

Needless to say, social media went into meltdown following the news of a #Hiddleswift split, with reality star Spencer Pratt even getting in on the action:

Just two days ago a source told Radar Online that Tom felt as though he was Taylor’s “glorified escort”, and with Taylor now saying that she was the one “uncomfortable” in their relationship, we have a feeling that this is one split that might get a little bit messy.
