X Factor 2016: Ivy Grace Paredes dropped from competition due to visa issues

Even more X Factor drama; hopeful Ivy Grace Paredes has been dropped from the competition after she was unable to get a visa to enter America.

The Filipino singer impressed the show’s judges with an amazing rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘All The Man That I Need’ during her audition and reached Judges Houses’, however, she has now had to pull out.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, a spokesperson for the ITV show explained: “As with all contestants travelling to the US for Judges Houses, Ivy was required to have a visa.

“Unfortunately there was an issue with her application being approved which meant that she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition.”

Ivy was supposed to fly to Sharon Osbourne’s house in the States as contestants battled it out to secure a spot in the ‘Overs’ category for the live shows.

A source added to The Sun: “Ivy was a real hope for the judges after her audition but her dreams are in tatters. She was point blank refused the visa. ‘X Factor’ [bosses] tried their best to help, but ran out of time.

“There has been talk of a past issue causing problems but no one but Ivy knows the reason.”

Ivy was replaced by another lucky hopeful, but the contestant who has taken her spot is yet to be announced.
