Beyonce didn't acknowledge Sam Bailey when she supported her on tour

You’d think that being the support act for a global superstar like Beyonce would be pretty bloomin’ brilliant, wouldn’t you?

On top of performing in sold-out arenas, you’d at least hope to walk away from the tour with an impressive selfie and a brilliant anecdote about your time working with the headline act, right?

Well, X Factor winner Sam Bailey has revealed that this isn’t exactly the case, with the singer being left disappointed when she Beyonce didn’t acknowledge her in any way when Sam opened for her during one of the UK dates of her ‘Mrs Carter World Tour’in 2014.

In fact, she didn’t even get a ‘thank you’.

Speaking about the stint, Sam told Bang Showbiz: “I’ve never spoken to Beyoncé, she wasn’t there. I just nicked her audience for a bit.

“It was incredible, there was 20,000 odd people screaming my name and then I got to watch her show afterwards but I never got to meet her.

“I think a signed poster or a signed t-shirt would have been lovely but it just weren’t to be. I didn’t even get a thank you for supporting her.”

Sam went on to admit: “I’m not going to lie, anyone would be gutted. I’d have had the decency to say hello.”

Not cool, Beyonce, not cool at all.
