Niall Horan Launches Solo Career With Capitol Records

Last month, we heard news Niall Horan had turned his back on Simon Cowell’s record label Syco and become the third member of One Direction to nab a solo deal eleswhere.

Now it has been reported the 22-year-old star has followed his bandmate Liam Payne’s lead and will be guided into the next stage of his career by Capitol Records – having been given offered a “huge” pay cheque to sign on the dotted line.

Either way the news will sting Simon Cowell, who had predicted the Irish hunk would stay “loyal” to his label or Sony at least after Liam Payne walked in July.

A source told The Sun: “Simon has made no secret of his expectations for Niall to stay loyal to him and has been desperately trying to keep him as a solo act with plans to turn him into a Justin Bieber style artist.

"They’ve worked together closely since day one and have always had strong relationship, but Universal offered a lot of money. Simon’s likely to be so frustrated Niall has gone to a rival.”

Harry Styles was the first to go in a new direction, uhum, and pick up fresh work when 1D announced their hiatus.

The talented heartthrob bagged himself a role in Hollywood in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated movie Dunkirk and excitingly, we should be seeing more of Harry over the coming months when filming wraps and the press tour begins.

He’s also signed a deal worth a reported $60 million to make music out of the US under Columbia Records.

Louis Tomlinson, meanwhile, recently picked up new management and we hope to hear news of his solo plans very soon.
