Grandad Declines Subway Seat In The Best Way Possible

It’s always polite to offer up your seat to the elderly on a train, but it seems that age is but a number for some people. And they won’t hold back in proving that.

Grandpa Wayne McEntire is the heroic proof - after he pulled off this incredible move when he was asked if he wanted an elderly access seat as he holidayed with grandson Britton Barker in Rio de Janeiro.

Quite fittingly, the pair were in town to watch the Olympics, and there’s a case to be made that 68-year-old Wayne should be considered for the U.S. gymnastics squad by the time Tokyo 2020 rolls around in four years time.

Understandably, Wayne’s heroics have received quite the reaction online.

‘What does he eat? Asking for a friend’, one person asked in an attempt to emulate Wayne’s incredible fitness.

Another said: ‘Damn! Look at the biceps on that man. Nice fitness.’

Rio 2016 is the fifth Olympic Games that Wayne has attended since Los Angeles in 1984 - and he’s now planning to take Britton to Tokyo in 2020.

That is, if he’s not competing of course.

Speaking to ABC, Britton praised his ‘Papa’ as ‘one of the kindest and most polite people I know.’
