'RIP Taylor Swift' Mural Appears In Australia

Just when we thought that Taylor Swift’s week couldn’t get any worse, a mysterious artist decided to pay tribute to the star’s “dead” career by painting an “RIP Taylor Swift” mural on a wall in Australia.

Erm, there’s just one thing though… It appears to read ‘Taylor Smith’…

Clever way to avoid legal issues?

The memorial wall reads “In loving memory of Taylor Smith 1989-2016”.

It even includes the sign-off: “No tags please, respect the dead” written underneath.

Pop-culture enthusiasts have been quick to join in with the joke, leaving candles and flowers in front of the memorial as a sign of “respect” for Taylor’s career passing.

In case you somehow managed to miss all of the drama, Taylor has been on a downward spiral ever since she went public with her new boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, less than three weeks after splitting from her partner of seventeen-months Calvin Harris.

In a bid to win back public sympathy, the star’s rep released a statement that claimed Calvin refused to credit her for his song 'This Is What You Came For’ - spurring Calv on to breaking his dignified silence and lashing out at the singer for trying to “bury” him like she tried to “bury” Katy Perry last year.

Yikes.

Following on from that, Kim Kardashian outed Tay as a liar on Sunday night, releasing audio footage that proved she had approved Kanye West’s controversial lyrics about her in his track 'Famous’, something that she had previously denied.

She can also be heard saying in the footage that the lyrics were “funny” and “obviously tongue in cheek” despite publicly claiming that they were “misogynistic”.

This is no doubt just the cherry on top of a pretty epic downfall from Taylor and her team…
