Bob Costas on problems facing 2016 Rio Olympics

Bob Costas of NBC Sports talks to Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric about the numerous concerns heading into the upcoming Summer Games in Rio including security, pollution and fears over the Zika virus.

“The Zika virus may be in eclipse a little bit,” Costas told Couric. “In the southern hemisphere August is in effect winter time. It doesn’t mean it will be cold, but it will be less hot, less humid, the mosquito population will go down considerably.”

Costas will have his eye on Olympic legends Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt but also says to look out for U.S. gymnast Simone Biles who was too young to compete in the 2012 games. “She has won the last three world championships so she might be the best bet for an all-around gold medal.”
