We are MORE than ready for it but we have to wait a little while longer yet as the next instalment of the sketch series is set to air on 2nd February.

The television host almost broke the internet when he teamed up with global superstar Adele last time, which currently has a record-breaking 59,141,015 views on YouTube.

During their session the 27-year-old belted out her biggest hits, shared her admiration for the Spice Girls and rapped Nicki Minaj’s ‘Monster’ like the absolute pro’ that she is - all while swigging down a cuppa’ tea.

Other memorable guests that have parked themselves in Corden’s passenger seat for a sing-along include One Direction, Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo.

However, Corden is going to attempt to take it up a gear with one of his best mates Chris by his side, admitting to ‘Entertainment Weekly’ that it will be more like a “boys road trip.”

Corden explained: “It’s more of a road trip than it is a Carpool in many ways. I’m such a fan of his. I’m a fan of that band — they mean the world to me. It was very funny. He brought a keyboard over, and it involved an overnight stay. It was fun.”

It has been rumoured that the duo will pay their respects to British icon David Bowie, after he sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this month, by singing one of his biggest hits.

So we already know that we’re in for a treat but which of Coldplay’s hits will feature on the car playlist? There are SO may to choose from.

The Corden/Martin collaboration news comes after it was announced that Coldplay will receive the ‘Godlike Genius Award’ at the NME Awards this year…
