Dr Luke Accuses Kesha Of Pulling A 'Publicity Stunt'

Last night we were left stunned and outraged when Kesha took to Instagram to claim that she had been offered “freedom” from her record label if she publicly said that she had “lied” about music producer Dr. Luke raping her.

Dr. Luke has always strongly denied the allegations against him and has now come forward to accuse the singer of pulling a “publicity stunt”.

In case you’re not completely up to speed, Sony Music hit the headlines a few months back when a judge ruled that Kesha had to continue working with them and Dr. Luke for six more albums as stated in her contract despite Kesha accusing the producer of sexually and emotionally abusing her.

Yesterday Kesha updated her fans on what was going on behind the scenes, writing on social media: “so. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped.

"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.”

A spokesperson for Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, responded to the post in a statement to Rolling Stone magazine: “The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims.

"That’s because all the evidence - including Kesha’s own videotaped sworn testimony - show her allegations are false.

“The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr. Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered into new contracts with Dr. Luke years after this ‘incident’ supposedly happened.

"Her goal all along has been solely personal enrichment by seeking to break contracts that brought her success and millions so she can enter into more lucrative ones. We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies.”

Yikes - it looks like things are going to get worse before they get better in this already messy court case…
