Like attracts like, and nothing exemplifies that expression better than a theme cruise. The chance to set sail with hundreds of other people who share your passion about a hobby, a band, a TV show, or some other kind of pursuit may seem like heaven at sea.
Theme cruises can take one of three forms. They can be private functions where a group of like-minded aficionados (say, "Star Trek" fans) partner up with a travel agency to sell tickets to a cruise where they have special events organized around their particular theme (to participate in those events, you have to have booked your cruise through that group). Or there are theme cruises where that one interest group charters the entire ship. And there are theme cruises run by the cruise line itself.
