Global Girl Power: Glamour's 'Girl Project' to send girls to school

For the past 24 years, Glamour Magazine has hosted the Women of the Year Awards honoring celebrities, politicians, and athletes, along with other inspiring and empowering women. In an exclusive interview series, Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric goes backstage at Carnegie Hall to speak with some of the honorees of 2014. In this video, the Editor-in-Chief of Glamour Magazine Cindi Leive introduces "The Girl Project," which is an endeavor committed to sending girls to school who live in countries where access to education is prohibited or hampered due to cultural or economic constraints. One of the 9 student honorees, Ana Cecilia from Honduras and presenter, actress Frieda Pinto, join Couric to share intimately the obstacles that many of these brave girls from around the world face.
