Now we know what Dr. Dre is doing with his Apple billions.

The founder of Apple's newly acquired Beats Electronics just bought Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's chateau in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood, the Los Angeles Times confirms.

And though he may be hip-hop's first billionaire, still he got a bargain.

Bundchen and Brady listed their eco-conscious home (we're going to refrain from calling it eco-friendly, exactly, on account of its size) this spring for $50 million, and "Dre put an offer on the mansion as soon as it came on the market," sources told Page Six. He paid $40 million, the L.A. Times reported -- 20 percent less than asking price. (Editor's note: Oops, we originally said $40 billion. Billions on the brain; sorry about that!)

Brady and Bundchen bought the land for $11.75 million in 2008. "Since we both enjoy the creative process, we decided to start from scratch," Brady told Architectural Digest last year.

Among the home's more unusual selling points are a koi-stocked moat ("picturesque but not pompous," Architectural Digest assures readers), multiple varieties of limestone ("all acid-washed for patina and texture"), and a garden where Bundchen says the family grows "85 percent of our fruits and vegetables," plus a chicken coop and compost heap.
