Jury convicts woman in Texas stiletto killing

HOUSTON (AP) — A jury has convicted a U.S. woman of fatally stabbing her boyfriend with the stiletto heel of her shoe.

Ana Trujillo was found guilty Tuesday in the death of 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson. Prosecutors said Trujillo struck him at least 25 times in the face with her shoe during an argument at his Houston condominium in June.

Trujillo's attorney had argued the 45-year-old woman was defending herself.

In a video of Trujillo's police interrogation played at trial, she told detectives Andersson had become enraged, attacked her and she used her shoe to defend herself.

Andersson's friends had described him as kind and mild-mannered.

The jury was expected to hear evidence in the trial's punishment phase before sentencing Trujillo. She faces up to life in prison.
