‘Best shift ever’: well-deserving waitress receives series of life-changing tips
We've shared numerous feel-good and pay-it-forward pranks here, many of them involving massive tips to well-deserving waitstaff. This one, however, just might trump them all.
As part of Break.com's Prank It Fwd project — the site donates a dollar to DoSomething.org for every 1,000 views of their videos — one California waitress was given four life-changing tips during the same shift.
Chelsea Roff, who raised her younger sister and overcame a severe eating disorder to start a yoga nonprofit that helping others in their recovery journey, was the deserving recipient.
Her first tip: $1,000 cash.
She barely recovered from the initial shock of the tip when she received her second tip: two tickets to Hawaii.
Chris Patterson, her boss, told the Break pranksters that Roff deserved the vacation.
Then came the third tip: Roff was offered her dream job, the opportunity to teach yoga as part of a nonprofit eating disorder program.
And as if that wasn't enough, her final tip was a new car. (Inside the vehicle was an old friend who had been flown in as a final surprise.)
"Best shift ever"? We think so.
