Zhone Technologies Receives JTIC Certification for its FiberLAN Solution

Zhone`s FiberLAN OLT and ONT PON Approved for U.S. Military Use

Oakland, CA - November 19, 2013 - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (ZHNE), a global leader in FTTx network access solutions, today announced that its FiberLAN Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT) Passive Optical Network (PON) with Software Release 2.4.1 has received Joint Interoperability Certification from the Defense Information Systems Agency. The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) is the established certification authority for Unified Capabilities (UC) products. This certification allows Zhone the opportunity to bid on military and government contracts, providing a robust PON based solution to support mission-critical communications.

The Joint Interoperability Test Command at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., currently runs a program to test technology of relevance for military branches and services. The organization performs standards conformance testing of High Frequency radio systems and data modems. The test determines the technology`s level of compliance to the requirements of Military Standard.
