Ellen recently had a special interview with Diana Nyad, who made history as the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. It took Diana 53 hours, six separate attempts and 35 years of training, but the inspiring 64-year-old long distance swimmer was finally able to realize her dream.

Diana chatted backstage with Ellen's correspondent Jeannie after her interview, where she revealed that she's "done with the salt water" and will focus her efforts on charitable causes - like the amazing event she's got in the works to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
