Among the worst-kept secrets of the upcoming Detroit auto show was the arrival of the 2015 Subaru WRX STI, the up-rated version of Subaru's now-iconic all-wheel-drive sports car. Thanks to a bevy of leaks, we can get a good look at the new STI in the proper blue-and-gold-wheel livery — but we may have to wait a few more days to find out just how much power Subaru has added in this time.

While we weren't too keen on the revamped WRX at first glance, it apparently not only upholds Subaru's rally racing traditions but comes close to putting the hurt on previous generation STIs. The previous WRX models held 40 fewer hp than the 305-hp STIs, and since the new 2015 WRX is up just three hp to 268, we'd expect a similar gap from the new edition — which may get a slightly larger, 2.5-liter turbo boxer four-cylinder. Check back with us on Monday for more.
