Kerry Washington Gives Birth to a Baby Girl!
Olivia Pope couldn't have handled this private affair any more skillfully. Scandal actress Kerry Washington secretly gave birth to a girl nearly two weeks ago, on April 21, but the news is only breaking now. The baby, named Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha, is the first child for Washington and husband Nnanmdi Asomugha. The couple began dating during the summer of 2012 and were married in an equally hush-hush wedding the following year. The 37-year-old new mom first revealed her baby bump to the public back in January, at the 2014 Golden Globes Awards. Sheathed in an elegant white Balenciaga gown, Washington told NBC, "I feel he designed it more for this bump, which I'm really happy with." Season three of the ABC political thriller recently finished production, which was scaled back four episodes, from 22 to 18, at the end of last year due to the star's impending due date. The show did not write the star's pregnancy into the plotline. Now the only cliffhanger is photos of the little one. Congrats to the new parents!
