How Prince William's redefining royal family traditions

London, Oct. 14 (ANI): The Duke of Cambridge, who recently revealed that his son's godparents will be his non-royal friends, is apparently trying to bring about a revolution in the ancient royal family traditions. Apart from the typical royal virtues of duty and self-sacrifice, Prince William is trying to redefine the word "family" at his own terms, while trying to include close personal ties, intimacy, support, love and loyalty, the Daily Express reported. It is believed that the new father's brand new ways are the result of the influence of his late mother Princess Diana and wife Kate Middleton. It is also understood that on William's insistence, the Queen has, for the first time, invited commoners, Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, to Sandringham to celebrate their new grandson's first Christmas. Also, on the birth of his new son, Prince William took the newborn straight to Kate's parents in the Home Counties rather than taking him to the Buckingham Palace. (ANI)
