Lord Alan Sugar Bodyshames 'Too Thin' Cheryl Fernandez-Versini

X Factor judge, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, has openly slammed criticism about her petite body, spending the best part of the year constantly asking people to stop ‘skinny-shaming’ her after she lost a lot of weight following the death of her father-in-law.

However, Apprentice star, Lord Alan Sugar, seemingly missed the memo as he blasted Cheryl for being too skinny whilst he was watching last night’s episode of The X Factor.

Taking to his Twitter account, the notoriously outspoken businessman simply wrote: “catching up on X-factor . Cheryl is now too thin.”

It didn’t take long for the star’s legions of followers to come to her defence, arguing: “Her body is your business why exactly Shugs?”

“Imagine if you had a young daughter who was the same build as Cheryl and she repeatedly read she was too thin no need to comment”.

“how does her weight or anything, affect you in anyway ?”

“Oh no! @Lord_Sugar didn’t think you would lower yourself to #bodyshaming for a popular tweet boo!”

“what’s too thin? Is there a goal size you have in mind?”

Cheryl is yet to acknowledge the 68-year-old’s comments, but she has previously spoken out about negative opinions on her body, saying: “The other side of body shaming is skinny shaming.

"I think this happens just as much as shaming someone for being bigger. How often do you hear someone say, 'give that girl a sandwich’, or 'she needs a good feed’?

"Everyone says they want the ‘perfect body’ and have so many body goals, but when a girl is just that bit too skinny, in your eyes, she gets judged. There is so, so, so, so much more to life than having the 'perfect body’.

"Every young person needs to understand that.”
