EXCLUSIVE 5 Things We Learned About Kourtney Kardashian At The Manuka Doctor Launch

The Kardashians are basically as A-list as it gets in terms of celebrity status, and that’s probably why we were so excited to get invited to the official UK launch of Manuka Doctor’s new global brand ambassador, Kourtney Kardashian, last night.

We mean, two hours hanging out with one of our actual idols? We’ve definitely had worse evenings.

Speaking about her partnership with the skincare brand, the star explained: “I have been using the Manuka Doctor honey line for many years so when the brand asked me to be their global ambassador, I couldn’t have wished for a better partnership.

“As fans of my show have seen, I am an advocate of products that use natural ingredients. I am incredibly excited to have this opportunity to work with a brand I believe in and introduce it to people around the world.”

And it wasn’t just the exciting new products that we learned about at the swanky penthouse party in the London Edition Hotel, in fact, we learned quite a bit about Kourt too:

1. She’s Tiny

Okay, let’s get this one out of the way early. Kourtney is known for being beautifully petite and works hard to maintain her trim and enviable size, yet we were still taken aback to see how tiny and toned she is in the flesh.

We all like to believe that every gorge celeb we ever see in magazines or on Instagram is airbrushed and filtered within an inch of their life but in person, Kourtney looked exactly how we have always seen her.

In fact, if we hadn’t seen each of her pregnancies play out on Keeping Up With The Kardashians there is no way that we would believe that she’s the mother of three children.

2. She’s LOVELY

Look, we’ve been to a lot of celeb parties in our time and it’s not unusual for stars of a lower calibre than Kourt to hide themselves away behind a roped VIP section and refuse to talk to anybody that isn’t their pal or their employee.

Kourtney was more than happy to mingle with every single person in the room, she was warm, friendly and open to conversation - we even had a delightfully British chat about the weather before she happily posed for more than one photo with us.

For one of the most famous women in the world we have to admit that we were shocked by how approachable she is.

3. She Works Bloomin’ Hard

We also had a chat with the lovely folk at Manuka Doctor and they admitted that they were in awe of just how hard the 36-year-old superstar works.

Working 10+ hours a day, insiders informed us that Kourtney went above and beyond to make sure that everything she needed to do was done - and when circumstances out of her control meant that she was behind in her schedule she was more than happy to cut down her breaks to make it work.

Unlike other celebs, Kourt was never late for any of her scheduled appointments and maintained a happy, professional and warm demeanour throughout. Impressive.

4. Even The Celebs Are Obsessed With Her

Our insider also told us that Kourtney was the belle of the ball at Tuesday night’s Glamour Women Of The Year Awards, with all of the other celebs in attendance flocking to the TV mogul for a selfie and a chat.

At last night’s launch, Lucy Watson, Jess Wright, and Katie Piper were all in attendance and couldn’t wait to speak to the star - proving that there’s a fangirl in all of us.

5. Yes, Even Kourtney Kardashian Has Insecurities

Let’s admit it, every time we see a photo of ourselves we over-analyse every last detail and more often than not pick out a couple of flaws. It’s human nature, it happens to everyone… Even, we learned, massive celebrities.

Looking at one of our pics together after it was taken, Kourtney told me that she “needs to work on her posture” as she criticised the positioning of her shoulders - what?!

It just goes to show that deep down we’re really not all that different…
