Prince's Estranged Sister To Inherit His $800Million Estate?

It has been reported that Prince’s only sibling, Tyka Nelson, could end up being awarded his $800million estate under Minnesota state law if the singer did not leave a will.

There is doubt over whether or not Prince stated in a legal document where he wants his money to go, and with the star not having any children Tyka is his closest living relative.

Although Prince had grown closer to his sister in recent years there was a period where their relationship was incredibly frosty as she battled an addiction to crack cocaine and dabbled in prostitution.

The star is said to have an estimated net worth of $300million and it’s thought that his estate will only increase in coming weeks due to the increase in sales of merchandise and music following his tragic death on April 21st.

Prince’s first manager, Owen Husney, has claimed that the star’s music catalogue is worth over $500million due to the fact Prince owned both his master recordings as well as his own music publishing, with there being a huge stash of unreleased music also available to now be released.

Prince’s body was found in the elevator of his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota on Thursday morning and although a cause of death is yet to be revealed, a post-mortem has confirmed that there was no trauma or violence in the time leading up to his death.

The examiner’s officer also stated that there is “no reason to believe” that Prince had committed suicide.
