Sir Tom Jones' Wife Lady Melinda Rose Woodward Has Died

It has sadly been announced that Sir Tom Jones’ wife of 59 years, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, has passed away.

The 75-year-old posted a statement on his official Facebook page early this morning, confirming that his beloved wife had died yesterday [April 10th] after a “short but fierce battle with cancer”.

The statement goes on to add: “Surrounded by her husband and loved ones, she passed away peacefully at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

"Sir Tom and his family have asked for privacy at this difficult time and no further information is currently available.”

Tom and Linda married in 1957 and have remained a solid unit throughout the star’s rise to fame, having one son together called Mark Woodward.

The tragic news comes just days after Sir Tom cancelled his Asian tour due to illness in his immediate family.
