Hello, Princess Charlotte and Prince George!

On Saturday the world was treated to four photos of the tiny royals, courtesy of parents Kate Middleton and Prince William. The images featured Prince George wearing a white shirt with blue trim and blue shorts with matching knee socks. He held his little sister Charlotte, who was clad in a white one-piece. The siblings were snuggling and George kissed Charlotte in one adorable shot. They were taken by Middleton in mid-May at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, the lavish 10-room country home where the family partially resides, 115 miles from Kensington Palace.

“Kate loves photography so it’s not surprising that she took these photos,” Victoria Arbiter, royal expert and CNN contributor, tells Yahoo Parenting. “Although people might be disappointed to not see all four members of the family.”

It hasn’t been too long since we’ve seen the brother-sister duo. On May 2, only hours after she was born, Princess Charlotte made her debut on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, wrapped in a white blanket and a white bonnet.

And although we didn’t catch of glimpse of Prince George on June 4 when he and Middleton were reportedly seen playing at London’s Holland Park, we got a little wave from him on his way into St. Mary’s to meet Charlotte for the first time.

The timing of the new photos fit tradition, as Middleton and Prince William also waited one month to release the first image of Prince George back in 2013. That photo, taken by grandfather Michael Middleton, featured the former family of three sitting in the garden of the Middleton home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. “Those photos were unfortunately criticized by the public for poor lighting and being out of focus,” says Arbiter. “But Kate and Will don’t use high society photographers as traditionally used by the royals. They do things their way.”

And we’ll meet the royal babies again when Princess Charlotte is christened on July 5 at St Mary Magdalene Church at the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Cute photos await!
