Real Housewife Yolanda Foster Sells Mansion for $8M Discount; ‘My World Has Become Very Small’

By Lisa Kaplan Gordon

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Foster and her Grammy-winning husband, David, have finally sold their Malibu mansion for $19,450,000 – $8 million shy of their initial $27.5 million asking price two years ago – according to Variety, which broke the story.

The 11,622-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion, which Yolanda designed herself and had custom-built after acquiring the property in 2007, sits on a bluff above the Pacific Coast Highway and features ocean views, an infinity pool and extra-wide-plank reclaimed Bavarian walnut floors.

Its six bedrooms and nine baths include a drop-dead master suite with:

• His-and-hers bathrooms.
• A huge dressing room/closet.
• A fireplace.
• And an office nook.

Here are a few peeks of that space:

The house also has a sauna and massage room …

… a Japanese soaking tub …

… a paneled library …

… a game room with wet bar …

… that Hollywood necessity, a screening room …

… and that other Hollywood necessity, a home gym:

Yolanda Foster, mother of “it girl” model Gigi Hadid, is a star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Bravo. A number of episodes of the let-them-eat-cake reality show have featured her Malibu house, its lemon groves … and its colossal kitchen, with a glass-front refrigerator so exquisitely arranged – baskets of artichokes, perfect rows of bottled water – that it’s earned its own Twitter page.

The fridge recently tweeted a sort of farewell to Gigi:

My dearest @GiGiHadid for many years you ate from my shelves You are one of the most beautiful women in the world

The tweet ended with a lemon emoticon.

Yolanda Foster, herself a former model, has been battling Lyme disease for three years, a frequent plot line on her reality show. She cited those struggles as one reason she was selling the mansion, telling Bravo TV in February 2014 when the listing hit the market:

“This is our dream home, but due to my battle with Lyme disease for the past two years, I just don’t have the strength to run this almost 5-acre property anymore and should really focus on my recovery with as little stress as possible.”

She also suggested the house was a little big as her children grow up: "My daughter Gigi moved to New York last July and my Bella will move this July, so it will be just the two of us with my 14-year-old son, Anwar.”

This past April, she disclosed that she’d moved into an apartment:

“My world has become very small. I have moved into an apartment with my husband and son in order to have a more manageable scope of responsibilities while I recover slowly and learn to take life one day at a time. Getting well is my full-time job these days. …

“All of this brings me back to the [Real Housewives] reunion. It was nice to see all the girls, even though, for obvious reasons, I have been extremely disconnected and pretty much living on a different planet for now.”

Foster also recently discovered a 20-year-old breast implant rupture that had been leaking silicone and possibly contributing to her health problems.
