Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Gushes Over Best Friend Nicola Roberts Amid Jean-Bernard Split

Poor ol’ Cheryl Fernandez Versini has had a pretty rough start to the year, with it being reported that she has split from her husband of eighteen months, Jean-Bernard, and is struggling to cope with her heartache.

However, you can always rely on your best pals to help you out when the going gets tough, and it looks like Cheryl’s BFF and former Girls Aloud bandmate, Nicola Roberts, has really helped to put a smile back on The X Factor judge’s face - simply by, well, existing.

The duo are currently on holiday as they celebrate Kimberley Walsh’s wedding, and it looks like Cheryl and Nicola have indulged in a bit of very important Girl Time whilst away.

Taking to her Instagram account to share the fun that she is having, Cheryl first of all posted a pic of her friend disguised as a mermaid in the sand of the beach, captioning the pic with: “Quick somebody find Eric!! She’s turning back into a mermaid #Ariel #mermaid @lilcola”.

However, things took a turn for the soppy last night when the 32-year-old shared a close-up pic of Nicola’s gorgeous face, writing: “But seriously the amount of [love] I have for this little one is crazy.. She is one of a kind !! I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have her in my life what a unique little soul @officialapple_inc scuz me can you please tell me where the red haired princess emoji is? [sic]”

A very valid question, we think you’ll all agree.

In short, it’s fab to see that Cheryl is finally having a bit of fun after the stressful few months that she has had - we just hope that Nicola continues putting a smile back on her face once they return to rainy England.
