This Actress Is Always Mistaken For ‘Frozen’s’ Elsa

Poor Abigail Breslin. It turns out that her long golden locks often result in her being mistaken for ‘Frozen’s’ Elsa.

Breslin, who first shot to stardom thanks to her Oscar nominated performance in ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, admitted to Buzz Feed that a girl recently told her that she was the Let It Go singer.

“I was in a grocery store one day and this little girl came up to me and just said to me, ‘You’re Elsa’,” Breslin explained.

However the 18-year-old actress had no qualms bursting this girl’s bubble by declaring that she didn’t actually have the power to fire ice from her veins.

“I was just like, ‘Um, no. No I’m not actually.’ And she was like, ‘No you are though. Like you are so.’ Little kids just automatically think blonde hair means Elsa,” she concluded.

You’d have thought that even a child would have the wherewithal to realise that ‘Frozen’s’ Elsa of Arendelle is an animated character while Abigail Breslin is a fully functioning human being.

But in this confused little girl’s defence maybe Breslin was carrying a bag of ice at the time too, and when coupled with her blonde bouffant she simply assumed that she’d come face to face with the singing queen.

Breslin has managed to avoid many of the pitfalls of child fame and instead has churned out a rather successful career for herself.

After making her debut in 2002’s ‘Signs’, Breslin’s most famous performance came in 2006’s ‘Little Miss Sunshine’.

In fact she was so revered for her turn in the film that she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has since starred in ‘Definitely, Maybe’, ‘Zombieland’, ‘Rango’, ‘August: Osage County’ and ‘Ender’s Game’ too.

Plus, if Disney ever decide to make a live-action feature film of ‘Frozen’ it sounds as though she’s be a shoe-in to replace Idina Menzel as Elsa too.
