Seth Meyers, David Duchovny and Jane Krakowsi to Host NBC’s ‘Red Nose Day’
Send in the clowns: Seth Meyers, David Duchovny and Jane Krakowski are set to host “Red Nose Day,” TheWrap has learned. Additionally, Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, Christian Slater, Al Roker, Andy Cohen, Kellan Lutz and Kermit the Frog are joining in on the the “fun-raising.”
The NBC special, which airs Thursday from 8 p.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET, will raise money to lift children out of poverty in the U.S. and in some of the poorest communities in the world.
Meyers, Duchovny and Krakowski will each host one hour of the three-hour live event happening at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The inaugural benefit will feature comedy, videos produced by Funny Or Die, musical performances and short appeals films shedding light on those in need.

Over 100 stars have now been announced for the benefit, including Julia Roberts, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Blake Shelton, Richard Gere, Reese Witherspoon, Jack Black, Michelle Rodriguez, Julianne Moore, Pharrell, One Direction, Keith Urban, John Mellencamp, John Krasinski, Zac Efron and many more.
TheWrap previously exclusively reported that Rose Byrne, Nick Cannon, Cheryl Burke, Jeff Dye and “Saturday Night Live” cast members Jay Pharaoh, Colin Jost and Michael Che will participate in the fundraiser.
The popular annual event in the U.K. has raised more than $1 billion over the last 30 years; this year, “Red Nose Day” is coming to America for the first time ever. For more information, visit www.rednosedayusa.org.

Richard Curtis is an executive producer for the NBC telecast (a Universal Television production), along with Hamish Hamilton and Ian Stewart of Done + Dusted Productions. Henrietta Conrad and Lily Sobhani will also serve as executive producers, as will Mike Farah, Anna Wenger and Joe Farrell from Funny or Die. Hamilton is set to direct.
