'Scarface' mansion price slashed in half

Say hello to my, uh, littler friend.

Last year this gorgeous California mansion that starred in "Scarface" hit the market at a whopping $35 million.

Now the price tag has shrunk to about half the size, the Wall Street Journal reports — available for $17.9 million.

Exteriors of the home stood in as Tony Montana's Miami mansion in the 1983 movie "Scarface," including the wedding scene with Al Pacino playing the gangster Tony and Michelle Pfeiffer playing his bride, Elvira.

The 10,000-square-foot home, built in 1906 outside Santa Barbara in Montecito, is called El Fureidis and has a fascinating architectural history. It virtually singlehandedly introduced the mishmash of pseudo-Mediterranean styles — Spanish, Italian, Arab — now so closely associated with California.

But its most significant legacy may be the universal icon of sunny Golden State living: the palm tree. El Fureidis' original owner sparked that landscaping craze.
