Hear It First: Case’s ‘Timeless’ R&B Classic

It’s been five years since 1990s R&B singer Case released his last album, but he’s back with a new set, Heaven’s Door, due March 31. And Yahoo Music is exclusively premiering one of its tracks, “Timeless,” right here.

The song title offers a play on words as the music culls from the Fugees’ classic cover of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly” and the lyrics celebrate a relationship that has withstood the test of time. Case sings, “Do I need to remind you that our love is timeless/Took forever to find your love.”

Case, who debuted in 1996 with the hit “Touch Me, Tease Me” featuring Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige, has also written songs for Usher, Al B. Sure, and Christopher Williams.
