Last week, eight biotech companies went public. Some of these companies traded much higher, while others traded lower.
Below is a recap of the IPOs from the week, and a look at how each performed on its first day of trading.
Zosano Pharma Corp (NASDAQ: ZSAN) offered 4.5 million shares on January 27 at $11. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $11.01.
Ascendis Pharma A/S (NASDAQ: ASND) offered 6 million shares on January 28 at $18. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $18.83.
Presbia PLC (NASDAQ: LENS) offered 4.2 million shares on January 29 at $10. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $8.15.
Flex Pharma Inc (NASDAQ: FLKS) offered 5.4 million shares on January 29 at $16. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $14.95.
Entellus Medical Inc (NASDAQ: ENTL) offered 4.6 million shares on January 29 at $17. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $22.
TRACON Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: TCON) offered 3.6 million shares on January 30 at $10. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $9.40.
Spark Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ONCE) offered 7 million shares on January 30 at $23. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $50.
Avinger Inc (NASDAQ: AVGR) offered 5 million shares on January 30 at $14. After the first day of trading, the stock closed at $13.50.
