Full 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2' Trailer: Katniss Leads a Revolution

Welcome to the beginning of the end.

After several teasers and an odd Thriller-like clip, Lionsgate has finally released the action-packed full trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 that premiered to screaming and delighted fans at Comic-Con.

As you can see above, Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss has completed her rise from poverty-stricken, self-sacrificing tribute to leader of a revolution; she’s become a symbol of hope and a gutsy warrior for justice, taking on the murderous government with the help of her many friends and followers.

The trailer opens in The Capitol, with President Snow (Donald Sutherland) threatening Katniss in his ridiculously patronizing tone. “I’ve been watching you, and you’ve been watching me,” he says. “My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake — the game is coming to its end.“

And make no mistake: Katniss and her fellow warriors are ready.

Commander Paylor (Patina Miller) takes charge, prepping the Resistance soldiers for their attack on The Capitol. Snow is waiting for them, with his own plans of tearing the world down before the good guys can capture his stronghold.

After a poignant line from Finnick (Sam Claflin), Katniss leads the army into the Capitol. The walls begin to fall, oil bleeds out in a torrent, and hell breaks loose.

Is it worth it? Katniss thinks so, declaring that “Snow needs to pay for what he’s done.” Peeta agrees, telling Katniss that if she kills Snow, “you end all of this, [and] all of those deaths — they mean something.”

Directed by Francis Lawrence, the massive finale hits theaters on November 20.
