Louisiana Tech is latest school to bring an alternate helmet to Conference USA.

We’ve seen some unique looks from Southern Miss and Florida Atlantic this offseason, and it was announced Tuesday that the Bulldogs will show off brand new lids for its home contest against UTEP on October 4 – a game that is slated to be a "red out" at Joe Aillet Stadium.

Check them out:

According to a release from the school, this helmet will mark the first time that Louisiana Tech will wear a helmet with its Bulldog logo. Traditionally, the Bulldogs’ helmets feature the “State-and-T” logo, as designed by former head coach Maxie Lambright back in 1968.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-8 2013 campaign in Skip Holtz’ first season. In year two under Holtz, the Bulldogs’ season kicks off with a huge challenge – a road contest at Oklahoma on August 30.
