Music power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce camped out this summer at this 16,000-square-foot rental in Los Angeles' Holmby Hills area, spending about a month there before moving on to Paris.

The spec house had been on the market since April, originally offered for $48 million and then discounted to $45 million. Variety first reported Jay and Bey's tenancy, and Zillow has confirmed it.

The rent was somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000 for the month. That’s nothing for Jay-Z and Beyonce, whose On the Run tour packed hundreds of stadiums across the country this summer, even though they were dogged by rumors that their marriage was on the rocks (see video below).

Like the stars, the big, boxy modern is larger than life. It was Zillow Blog's House of the Week back in May, and it has a decidedly European flair: It was built by Estate Four, a London firm that designed part of the Milan fashion district.

The entryway has 20-foot ceilings, and common rooms are framed by walls of glass. Inside are 7 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. The property also has a tennis court, pool and exercise room.

The Agency‘s David Parnes and James Harris held the listing, which has just been removed.
