Women’s College World Series softball postponed as tornadoes bear down on Oklahoma City

The Women's College World Series softball tournament is in Oklahoma City, which as of Friday night was under severe tornado warnings. Not only were all Friday games cancelled, but players from all over the country, as well as their fans, had to take shelter in a hotel parking garage from the coming storms.

The National Weather Service is reporting tornadoes, hail of up to grapefruit size (four inches in diameter) and heavily damaging winds. While some storm chasers have remained above ground filming the images of this latest storm, most are indoors. The NCAA decided to cancel all Friday games and will regroup on Saturday.

This is the second time within a few days that a vicious storm system has ripped through Oklahoma. Last week, a mile-wide tornado tore apart the city of Moore, Okla., killing dozens.
