While less than a similarly sized penthouse in the Big Apple, this 1,592-square-foot home isn't cheap by national standards. The Studio City median list price is just shy of $1 million, and this poolside abode on Mulholland Drive is asking $1.595 million.

Built in 1951, the 3-bedroom home has an open floor plan with views of downtown L.A. The lot spans a third of an acre.
