SYTYCP: Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman Prance for Charity

Last week, John Mayer got on board with the Prancercise craze via a viral video promoting his new single, "Paper Doll." This week, "So You Think You Can Dance" judges Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman also adopted a Prancercise regimen, but to promote a much nobler cause.

In a hilarious new Funny or Die video starring Nigel, Adam, and a loopy Joanna Rohrback lookalike (played by "2 Broke Girls" actress Beth Behrs), the peppy threesome prance about in tighty-whitey jodhpurs (WARNING: This is a sight that you can't unsee), going through the Basic Prance Step, the Hot Trot, and the Main Gallop, all for a good charity and more than a few good yuks.

So, has Nigel finally lost his marbles, after being fired as the executive producer of "American Idol"? No, people. This stunt is just to create awareness for National Dance Day (or is it National Prance Day?), the holiday Nigel launched in 2010 to encourage Americans of all ages and sizes to dance for fitness and health. Surely the real Johanna would approve!

Saturday, July 27 is National Dance Day (go HERE for more information on NDD events across the country), but in the meantime, the first live competitive shows of "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 10 kick off tonight, Tuesday, June 25. Will Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookey, or Sonya Tayeh be inspired to choreograph a Prance routine for the top 20? If so, I'll be saying "yay!" not "nay!"

And in case you can't get enough can't-be-unseen footage of Nigel and Adam dancing, there's this:
