Viral videos of the week: From animated tissue sculptures to life on Mars

Yahoo News takes a look at the best videos making a splash on the internet this week:

Tissue animals come alive:

Tissues are used to wipe tears from your eyes, blow your nose and ... create miniature animals? These incredibly detailed sculptures are made entirely from tissue paper. Watch as they are transformed from birds to frogs to howling wolves.

Nervous meerkats:

Meerkats are curious creatures - but they are also easily frightened. A wicker basket was placed in their enclosure but the mob of meerkats did not appreciate the gift. Watch as they move as a group toward the strange object, jumping back every few seconds with fright.

Time-lapse of Aurora Borealis:

The majestic colours of the Aurora Borealis - or Northern Lights - have been captured in a breath-taking time-lapse above the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada.

Going, going, gone:

British actor Sacha Baron Cohen is not afraid to shock - and he did just that during the 2013 BAFTA Britannia Awards in LA. The actor was receiving the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy and 'accidentally' knocked an elderly actress off the stage. Luckily it was a prank and the woman in the wheelchair was actually a stuntwoman.

Life on Mars:

NASA has produced an animation of how Mars could have changed from a planet of abundant water to the dry red rock in four billion years.

On the bottle:

Guinness World Record day saw a number of audacious feats - including record attempts for the most amount of swords swallowed underwater and the largest number of bridesmaids. Joe Alexander, from Germany, beat the world record for walking on the most upright bottles - but then beat another record for the most number of darts caught by the hand in one minute.

The best of friends:

A three-week-old white lion cub called Navaro has found a best friend and doting mother with one of the dogs at the Marakele Predator Center in Thabazimbi, South Africa.

Land's End to John O'Groats:

Sean Conway celebrated with a bubbly shower after making history by becoming the first person to swim from Land's End to John O'Groats. The gruelling challenge took four and a half months to complete and 900 miles to swim.

Crazy cars race during derby:

Over the ramp! Red Bull's CrazyCar soapbox derby in Buenos Aires, Argentina, pitted racers in elaborate costumes driving customised karts.
