Darts in the Dark: Bay Hill pick, Sergio Garcia

This year I was coerced by a hockey writing friend of mine to do a weekly one-and-done golf pool that allows you to pick one golfer, never to use them again in 2013. Since I'm doing it for fun (and DEFINITELY not for money, no way, no how), I figured I'd post my weekly picks here, with who I've already used under it and my record for the year, and against the others in the pool. We're calling this Darts in the Dark.

It has been a pretty incredible year for Tiger Woods, the man that owns Bay Hill with seven wins over his career, but it hasn't been a shabby one for Sergio Garcia.

The 33-year-old has played in four PGA Tour events in 2013 and has yet to finish outside the top-17, carding a T-3 at Doral and a T-7 last week at the Tampa Bay Championship.

Sure, Tiger is the obvious pick this week with two wins and the history at this event but I feel like the smart move is to save him for the U.S. Open and that's what I'm going to do.

So it's Garcia's week to shine, and let's hope his ridiculous record at Bay Hill (six top-10s in 11 starts at this event) keeps the momentum for Sergio going.
